Welcome

...to my Treehouse, where I do a bit of sharing goodies with my readers, and a lot of showing off of my CT tags. It's my little nest in the busy world of psp.

Squirrely has been my nickname since I was a child, both because it rhymes with my real name, and because I'm forgetful and just plain nuts at times. I've been tagging for 2+ decades off and on, and now that I'm retired/disabled I'm pretty much on most of the time now.

I love to share what I make with you, and I LOVE it when you respond with love back for the shares. So have a look around, take what you like and enjoy yourself. Just watch for splinters.

Free-4-All Friday

Ok, everyone can relax now. ;)  I've finally got my self-imposed blog schedule set up to where I'm happy with it.  We have Mask Mondays, Wednesday Wallpapers, and now Free-4-All Friday, which is the day I'll share everything else I make with you - mini kits, clusters, templates etc.  I have to make schedules or else I get nothing accomplished.  Deadlines - whether real or imagined - have power in my little Squirrely mind to create action on my part.  Today's Free-4-All is a lovely, very pink cluster frame, self named for a pink loving piggy friend of mine. :)
You know who you are.

Wallpaper Wednesday

Today's desktop wallpaper freebie has probably the cutest darn tube I've seen all summer.  It's by Lysisange from PFD and is called Praline.  I love her face - that smile - her pose - just everthing about her is as cute as can be.  I coupled her with a combo of two sweet kits by BLT Designs, "Carmen's Paradise" and "Garden Sanctuary".

Summertime Yum

Included in the zip are 4 of the most popular desktop sizes
1280 x 1024; 1366 x 768; 1600 x 900; 1920 x 1080

Monday Masks and show offs!

Today's show off tag might look a little familiar to you lol.  I've used the kit from Dees'Sign Depot that I used to decorate my blog, Sweetly Refined.  And yep, even used the same tube!  I just love the way they look together and wanted a tag with them both that I could 'wear' in my signature. The colors are so soothing,

This teal color must be my color this summer, even my bedroom (or Pandora as I call it) is painted in these colors.  I sensed the teal'ness in my life  when I also made this tag, using Dee's kit Josee, which is another feminine beauty.

And I have some masks for you today as promised.  I hope you enjoy using them and let me know.
Have a great week

Free Mini Kit Friday!!

As promised, today I have a sweet little kit I made for you all.  I dabble in designing because I really enjoy it, usually for groups I'm in as gifts, etc.  I've no idea why it never occurred to me to share them here on my blog (Squirrely moments??), so here we are today.

I live on a tiny barrier island beach community, and Hydrangeas grow in almost everyone's yards - except mine of course. When I first moved here, it was summer and I was awed by this beautiful gigantic bushes with heads of glorious colors. Of course I moved here from the desert so anything green tickled me silly, but in particular this giant balls.  I was thinking of that first summer here while making this mini kit...Hydrangea Summer.

I know, for someone who doesn't like purple I'm sure showing alot of it this week hehe.  Maybe my tastes are changing in my old age, what can I say.  I do hope you enjoy it though, and certainly let me know in the comments section if you do.  Kits take a long time to make, and while it's fun, it's nice for the people who download it to leave a note of thanks so I know my time is appreciated.

Wallpaper Wednesday

That's what Wednesdays are going to be from now on, the day I share Desktop Wallpapers with you.  I'm so glad you like them (and thanks for telling me so), because I love making & sharing them.  Here is this week's inspiration tag.

I've used Dee's newest kit, "Beauty Within" to make it.  How lush is this kit!!??  Now I confess, I am not a fan of the color purple at all, but it works so well with all of the lovely elements Dee created, I couldn't resist having a go with it.  I think the Chris Pastel tube I used also makes it really pop.  All in all, a tag I'm really happy with.

In making the wallpaper I got to use many of the really pretty flourishes in the kit, I'm a flourish-ey kinda girl.  I love sparkles and foofy stuff for tagging and this kit doesn't disappoint.  There's lots of word arts too - YUM!!  Ok, ok....enough gushing, here is the desktop in the zip file, one of each of the most popular size for monitors - 1280x1024; 1366x768; 1600x900 and 1920x1080.

Masks 4 You and some Beach love

I'm having a love affair at the moment with Dees'Sign Post. I've always loved Dee's kits and have almost 80 in my collection, but Summer time in particular I think her designs are just beyond spectacular. Her beach themed kits bring out the mermaid-loving beachcomber in me and I'd like to share some of my latest with you because I'm a show-off. ;)

Silent Harbour is one of my favorites because it brings to mind the calm of the hazy, lazy, color subdued days of living by the beach.  The tourists stay away on these days, and the beach itself just seems to relax a bit more, and Dee's captured these glorious days beautifully.  This tube of Danny Lee's begged to be used here.

Sometimes you just need a 'boy tag' for that rare male tagger.  Dee's kit, Seaside Rendezvous was a good opportunity for me to use this 10+ yr old tube by Steve Walker that I love.  The frame used here is from a different kit but it works great with this kit, doesn't it??  The little jumping fish is an old animation I made for an ancient tutorial, and it gave this guy something to look at while he waits by the sea for his rendezvous to arrive.

And finally, my latest tag using this fun Garv tube, reminds me of every cute little beach shoppe where I live, eclectic and cluttered with sea tattered wares.  The kit is Dee's latest, "Sun-Tans and Souvenirs" and it is LUSH with fun seaside goodness in gorgeous Summertime colors.  I love the little Cabana like trio-frame in the background. The frame in the boy tag above is from this kit along with 7 others.

Thanks for looking at my show-offs. Here are a few masks I've made for your tagging pleasure.  If you snag them, please be sure to leave me a quickie thank you so I know to keep sharing
little goodies I make with you.

Hello again!

Hello everyone and welcome back to both of us!

Real life kept me away from my tagging life much longer than I had intended, though it did give me time to think about this pretty little Treehouse and what I'd like to do with it.  I really enjoy making different things - masks, templates, mini kits, etc. - and I enjoy sharing them with my tagging friends. So from  now on, that's what I'm going to do here on my blog, and of course write the occasional tut now and then.

First I want to show off a tag I made with Dee of Dees'Sign Post newest kit
Like every other kit of Dee's, I'm just in love with the rich colors and elements she creates, and I have many more ideas for this kit. This older tube from Arthur Crowe works great with it, don't you think?

I made a desktop using this tag as anchor, and it looked so great on my monitor that I made a few different sizes to share with you today.  In the zip file, you find 4 different sizes, one of which should fit every monitor.  I hope you enjoy it!!

Please leave me a comment if you download it so I know if you'd like me to continue to make desktops to share with you all.
