Welcome

...to my Treehouse, where I do a bit of sharing goodies with my readers, and a lot of showing off of my CT tags. It's my little nest in the busy world of psp.

Squirrely has been my nickname since I was a child, both because it rhymes with my real name, and because I'm forgetful and just plain nuts at times. I've been tagging for 2+ decades off and on, and now that I'm retired/disabled I'm pretty much on most of the time now.

I love to share what I make with you, and I LOVE it when you respond with love back for the shares. So have a look around, take what you like and enjoy yourself. Just watch for splinters.

Well once again my friends my back has been acting up, limiting my computer time to next to nothing.  As you can see I updated my blog for the lovely (anticipated) Fall weather, you likey??  Well, Millie of Millie's PSP Madness did the actual update because coding skeers me to death!!

Thank you again Millie, it looks awesome!!
So I did get to make these two masks for you, so enjoy them.  Just bring them to full size and right click to save.

Now TOMORROW, Sept. 1st, head over the Creative Misfits Creations blog
because I made some really sweeeeeeeet Autumn masks to share there.  Here's a preview of those, but don't worry, I'll poke you tomorrow to remind you.

Also posted on the Misfits blog will be this new FTU kit of mine, along with lots of other kits, masks and goodies for you to snag tomorrow!

Wednesday Wallpaper & showoff

Both my back and my computer are giving me fits lately, and I haven't made it online much since Friday because of one or the other.  When I did get to sit here, I had the opportunity to play with Dees'Signpost pretty, pretty PRETTY new kit, "About A Girl".  Trust me, you will LOVE this kit for it's sheer femininity.
Look at those delicious colors and super soft elements.  I personally love delicate tags, and Dee created here a kit that's perfect for soft & sweet tags. I love how it compliments this Zlata M tube.

The Marika tag above is more vivid with a Gaussian Blur/overlay blend combo, so you can have it both ways with "About A Girl".  I used this tag to make this week's wallpaper for you. Isn't that lace on the borders SO pretty??  UGH I love this kit!!!!

End of Summer FTU cluster frame

My daughter began school shopping with the kids yesterday, a sure sign that summer is almost over. I thought I'd make a late summer-ish cluster frame for today.  It's a little stark, I know, but to me that's what this time of year is like.  Time to start ending your summer activities but not at all cool enough to begin Fall fun yet. Kind of a no man's land time of year.  I do love the colors though :)

I also want to share with you this sweet little tag I made with Dees'Sign Depot new kit,
I have to admit this kit resonates with me personally, because I have a daughter and grandson that live 10.000 miles away from me.  Even though we Skype and Facetime, I'm still all too familiar with the hideous blue and orange of Air Mail delivered letters.  Well leave it to Dee to turn hideous colors into something soft and subtle for tagging.  Look at the amazing elements in the kit that I've used for my tag - they're whimsical but romantic.

I love this "floor" of sequins - it's almost silly but it works!  Leave it to Dee, that's all I can say. This kit is on sale now so click the link above if you'd like to grab it.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wallpaper Wednesday - Goth and Gorgeous

I'm on the fence about all things Goth, but Halloween is coming so when Dee released her newest kit,
I had to take a whirl with it.

I'm very pleased with how this one came out.  The only thing I'm a bit bummed about, is that the wording pretty much hides the 2 gorgeous floral bouquets in the kit.  The colors are so vivid in their subtlety, all ultra soft teals and mauves in a yummy velvet look. It's really a stunner of a kit, that can also look pretty wicked if you'd like.  Which is how I created your Desktop Wallpaper today.

Halloween is a'coming afterall....

Masked Monday

I got home late yesterday from (one of) my dream vacation.  With my daughter, grandbabes, brother and sis in law in tow, we all flew to Vegas where my son, sister & her family live for a week of doing absolutely nothing!  Packing only bathing suits, comfy T's, cotton shorts & flip flops, we did nothing but sit around the pool and talk, drink and party.  My bro-in-law is a gourmet chef and while I'm sure I gained a few pounds, it was well worth it lol.  My grands and daughter took in some local sites for kids, but I rarely left my lounge chair, and had the airlines cooperated with me I would have stayed another week, but that was not to be.  Still, we came home exhausted which I can't figure out lol.

Before I left, I was asked by a few people to make some square masks for your tagging pleasure.
Here you go :)

Mask Monday & a Show Off

Oy, what a day I've had today!!
(said in my strongest NY accent)

Early this morning I had to rush my little fur-baby Debbi to the emergency vet.  I thought she had suffered a stroke or other calamity that was sure to take her from me at only 10 yrs of age.  Obviously in pain, unable to walk or stand (every attempt she fell over),  eat or drink or even be touched - she was so horribly pathetic that I became THAT crazy puppy parent we all have seen and cross the street to avoid.  You can laugh, it's ok.

And she will be too I'm happy to report.  She's likely has a bulging disc in her back, or a severely strained muscle - so sad but not life threatening, and the goal today was to give her relief and reduce swelling.  We're on a 3 step plan now for her recovery.  Today she received steroidal & pain shots and came home with all of the same for 7 days, hopefully this will do the trick and will prove it to be the muscles strain.  If not, a month of laser treatments will follow after xrays are taken to see what's going on in her little 8lb body.  Then possibly - and the worst - surgery.  Today really sucked.

Before all of this happened last night, ZlataM. released this precious tube that I naturally fell in love with.  At the same time, Dee released her simply luscious new kit -
that is loaded with everyone's favorite - sunflowers!!  It was a match made in heaven.  The irony of the awful hours I spent AFTER I finished this tag isn't lost on me.

Isn't it just so pretty?  I swear I can smell the cool dirt and feel the soft early September breezes just looking at it.  I think the little flower pots by her knees are so sweet, just one of the many fun and realistic elements that Dee has put into this kit.  Go take a look at it and see for yourself.

And now that you've listened to my sad tail (pun intended) of woe today, and looked at this sweet little Puppy Love tag I made, I have some new masks for you!!  I used the one on the bottom left of the preview in the tag above.

AND I've moved away from 4shared at some of your requests.  Let me know if you have any problem with my dropbox ok?

Download HERE and have a great week!!

Keep my little Debbi in your thoughts ok?
